A collection of comprehension activities for year 2, all with the theme of Lent or Easter.
Each booklet comes in 3 differentiated levels. They are all based on the reading SATs paper, containing a similar style of questions. They are also laid out in the same way as a SATs booklet to provide the children with greater experience. The four comprehensions are a range of instructions, fiction and non-fiction.

This is a presentation on Mother Teresa (Saint Teresa of Calcutta).
The presentation covers Mother Teresa’s early life, becoming a nun, her work with the poor and sick in India, her achievements and legacy and a selection of her quotes. The last part of the presentation includes some interesting questions to provoke discussion.
Use this as part of a lesson or for an assembly for ages 5 - 11.

There are a range of ‘what,’ ‘where,’ and ‘who’ questions, some multiple choice tick questions and some that require more detailed answers. Each booklet is based on the reading SATs paper, containing a similar style of questions and the same layout.

This resource contains five old testament bible story comprehensions. They are suitable for using with year 1 or lower ability year 2.
There are three differentiated levels. There is a colour and black & white version of each level.
Each level contains five short pieces of text with words that can be sounded out. There are three trickier words which have pictures in the lower and middle levels to help children work out what they say.
Each passage is followed by 5 simple questions.
